No clever title :(

…Man, I can’t stop thinking about how my parents may have thrown out a Kinokuniya postcard (more specifically my dad since he loves throwing things away; he even threw away one of my brother’s puzzles because he hadn’t put it together). I went in like last month or the month before to special order a magazine and they told me there was a 50-50 chance they’d be able to acquire the item for me. I didn’t actually expect them to get it, so I went ahead and ordered them online, though it’ll be some time before they get shipped to my house. I appreciate my mom finally telling me, but doing that on a Monday when I know I can’t go to the store to check is going to distract me for the rest of the week. Guess I’ll sell the copy I ordered or ask Akadot to cancel or swap it for something else. It’d be sad too if it turned out to be something else instead of a Kinokuniya postcard, meaning we’d waste gasoline.

…I’ll just call them tomorrow or the day after. b

Maybe I should special pre-order the logs before they come out. Seems like it’d be a hassle for Kinokuniya to do that for me for the rest of One Piece’s run, but it’s business!

Aside from that, I came back to the apartment a little later today since I decided to just look for Film Comment today instead of tomorrow. I learned how to make double-sided copies after messing up two to three times! I got an email from Mr. Handman the other day and apparently they do have the volume I was looking for. Huh, I must’ve read the listing wrong on Pathfinder and Melvyl. I’ll be heading to the PFA Library in BAM and bringing along the other books that supposedly have articles on Klute. …Ah! I should listen to today’s Psych lecture since I dozed off. It’s rare for me to be able to stay awake in English 45C but not Psychology 2. I guess napping at Ann’s Cafe or whatever did me some good (Hart Crane was frustrating to get through; lecture made him seem more interesting though. Same with Faulkner once I started paying more attention to The Sound and the Fury.). If I were a GSI, I’d hold office hours there. It’s indoor seating but has a glass roof. The sunlight felt really nice!

I should work on my internship application and make a resume. Oh, and look over the departmental requirements for internships. Will probably discuss this with Bader on the way home Thursday evening.

Also need to get start on Invisible Man a little earlier than the syllabus date so I can start generating some essay topics. Faulkner is pinging me a bit since I find his playing with punctuation and capitalization interesting, but it may be biting off way more than I can chew. If I can’t get anything out of IM, I might just go for Faulkner. I’ll be harassing Franklin like crazy regardless!
