Undeniably Uncool

No es muy interesante

I saw this at Walgreens sometime in December.

Okay, that’s probably the most interesting thing in this entry.

Called Kinokuniya the other day and it turns out they did indeed send us a postcard. Since they have my name, address, and phone number, I can just come in with identification. Whoop!

The PFA Library is pretty much three or four separate rooms with books and files. It’s smaller than I thought it’d be and kind of has limited seating. It’s all secretive and stuff since I had to sign in to gain access. The receptionist had to buzz me in. Fancy! I spent about three hours in there and scanned 63 pages worth of stuff.…Well, almost double that if you think about how I fit two pages onto one.Well, $6.30 is better than me buying those books and never reading them again. Kind of a shame that some instructors don’t just have us just buy a reader. I will gladly support an author if I know for sure that I like their book! …which is why I should just borrow them from the library and decide afterwards whether I want to keep it. Big fan of previewing things!

I seriously need to start sleeping at 11:30pm on TThSun. I kind of like not falling asleep during both classes and being able to read for class without my eyes going hazy. S-so early though. Guess I’ll try to have a consistent sleeping pattern instead of sleeping early on those specific days. S-so early to me. It’d help with my skin though…

I should get rolling on reading the articles I copied and work on my writing sample for the internship application. I’ll be talking to Bader about that tomorrow. Man it’d suck if I don’t get in.

Aside from that, more money-related matters! I guiltily bought Shadow Hearts (PS2) using half of my Paypal funds the other day and pre-ordered a Moleskine planner (~$10; usually about ~$15) off Amazon. $25 shipped is pretty decent for such a rare game, so I guess that’s OK. I’ve been wanting a Moleskine since I love the planners on but my Busybody one doesn’t really work for that kind of thing. Love the layout, but not fun for doodling.

I wanted to use my Paypal funds for the Canoscan LiDE 200, but I get points from Amazon purchases anyway, so it makes sense that I use my Amazon credit card instead. I could transfer funds to my checking account, but I like having a "stash." Besides, I won’t be buying it until next month; I don’t really have the time to scan things (or I do but shouldn’t waste my time on non-academic pursuits like I’m doing no–oh snap). Hopefully it won’t rise in price by the time I order it. ;; The only issue–I have enough credit for it regardless; I just wanted to spend less than I typically do, considering I pre-ordered the Kanon 2006 box set (~$49; usually ~$70)–would be if Akadot magically has my order ready earlier than expected. I doubt they will, but it could happen. *shrug* I’ve still got my Code Geass box sets to sell though, so it shouldn’t be too bad.

Yeah, I don’t have much willpower these days, at least relative to my personal buying habits. In the past, I’d wait up to half-a-year or longer after a game’s release date (consoles are different, obviously). By the time I got Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts II’s release date wasn’t too far behind. I still try to find the best deals I can (like discounted pre-orders), but…

On the other hand, a lot of the things I want (I’m looking at you, Atlus games) seem to go out of stock if I wait too long and sometimes used items are priced higher than the MSRP.

Ah, I still have to do online counseling on loans! …Will I even remember this once I get out from class?
